TRY MAKING YOUR OWN CROSSWORD!
When growing up, our graphic designer used to draw Snoopy. She got really good at it. One recommendation she has for budding artists is to draw every day, even just a doodle. To come up with one good drawing she might create 10 or more! Those ideas that don't work out are what pull the ideas which do, to the front of your imagination!
Her daughter, Frankie dreamt up and drew this menu backside on the left. She and her older sister, Stella, have created art for their mom's busy graphic design business for years. Frankie's work was featured on merchandise for Fenton's Creamery's Anniversary and Stella provided fashion design sketches for an image consultant as well as spot graphics for published books.
Frankie says keep drawing and never give up! It's a learned skill, not a talent you are born with or not. In third grade Frankie proved this by holding drawing classes at recess to show everyone they could draw cute animals. They could, and so could YOU!
